OUR MISSION, WHILE LIFE LASTS, IS TO BE FOUND GUILTY OF..
LOVING GOD AND LOVING PEOPLE.
According to Jesus the challenge above is the fulfillment of all of God’s Law. We have adopted this supernatural way of living as our mission statement. We are a people that believes everything Jesus said is important, but a couple of the things He said seem, even to Him, to wrap it all up in a very concise way. They are sometime referred to as the Great Commission and the Great Commandment. They are stated in various places of scripture and expounded upon throughout all of scripture, but here they are from the Holman Christian Standard Bible.
The Great Commission – Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
The Great Commandment – Matthew 22:36-40
“Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?”
He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important commandment. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commandments.”
